Cabycal has developed two product lines that work for legislative compliance in environmental matters in the surroundings of surface painting facilities: EnergetYc Savings and Zero Ympact.

With energy saving systems, the objective is to reduce the energy consumption of painting facilities. This represents a significant economic saving during the useful life of the line, as well as the reduction of greenhouse effect emissions.

All the painting facilities projects developed by Cabycal are carried out by studying the energy consumption of the designed painting lines and analyzing the causes of possible excess consumption and the opportunities for saving on them.

In addition, old installations that need to be updated, the necessary studies are carried out with the aim of proposing to the client adaptations and improvements that can allow savings of up to 80% in the energy consumption of an installation.

On the other hand, Ympacto Cero is a design principle by which Cabycal implements solutions that minimize the impact of painting facilities on the environment. The objective is to reduce both the gaseous emissions of Volatite Organic Compounds (VOCs) as the liquid discharges.

Cabycal offers different technological solutions aimed at treating highly polluting gaseous emissions due to the solvent content of painting facilities.

The solutions offered by Cabycal for the reduction of emissions of Volatile Organic Compounds VOCs are:

  • Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer (RTO) systems
  • Concentration systems + regenerative thermal oxidation

Royal Decree 117/2003, which transposes European regulations 1999/13 / EC on VOCs, establishes, for each industrial activity sector, the solvent consumption thresholds (t / year) and allowable emission limit values (mgC / Nm3 ). Among the most effective technologies to meet these limits are regenerative thermal oxidation systems, custom-designed based on the specific needs of each production process.

The implementation of this technology within the industrial sector since the 70s maintains the same general principle of operation. However, Cabycal is committed to reducing the operating costs of the equipment, improving thermal efficiency and purification performance, optimizing the design, control system and integrating high-performance ceramic exchange material.

In particular, regenerative thermal oxidation and concentration systems make it possible to reduce the volume of air to be treated by proportionally increasing the concentration of VOCs through adsorption / desorption processes on zeolite. These processes are efficiently tailored to solvent loads and flow rates typical of industrial paint facilities.

The regenerative thermal oxidation equipment improved by Cabycal present a higher thermal performance, better use of the energy inside the equipment and an increase in the useful life of the exchange material. All this translates into a much more efficient system in controlling the gaseous emissions generated in industrial painting processes.

Within Ympacto Cero Cabycal also offers solutions for the treatment of water and liquid effluents up to zero discharge:

  • Treatment plant system with discharge 0
  • Physical chemical treatment plant
  • Osmosis water production system
  • Deionized (distilled) water production system(destilada)

Deionized (distilled) water production system:

  • Optimization of operation and efficacy of treatment:
  • Modular concept systems that allow its modification and expansion, just by adding the elements that are required.
  • Integration of systems for the control and dosage of reagents with high precision and reliability, avoiding their waste due to excessive dosage, and ensuring at all times the effective treatment of effluents within the established discharge limits.
  • Modules for chemical treatment, reagents and pumping without unprotected metal parts, totally avoiding corrosion problems, which implies a lower cost of maintenance of the installation.
  • Control panel with a programmable automaton to control the process, which continuously adapts the response of the treatment plant, proportionally to the demand for reagents, or the flow to be treated, and a synoptic panel with the pilots and switches of the equipment and instrumentation incorporated, that reflects at all times the state of the installation.

With all the measures proposed with Energy Savings and Zero Impact, Cabycal carries out an analysis of the facility’s carbon footprint.

Cabycal’s commitment is to achieve zero discharge in each project. To meet this objective, a study of the different technologies is carried out, shaping a combined system that guarantees maximum process efficiency, minimization of waste and the reuse of treated water for industrial use.
